Duct-less A/C Systems – 1 Day Installations

Ductless mini-split A/C systems are the ideal cooling solution for many applications in Massachusetts where adding ductwork is impractical or unnecessary. The matched combination of indoor air handler and outdoor condenser are MORE EFFICIENT than systems with ductwork and can be installed and running in as little as a few hours.  Some buildings may need commercial ductless air conditioning systems, while homes utilize multi-room and single-room ductless mini split air conditioning or heat pump systems.  Here are a few of the benefits of mini-split air conditioning systems:

    • Zoning – each indoor unit operates with it’s own independent temperature control, providing individual comfort
    • No ductwork needed – means fast and neat installation
    • Simultaneous Heating and Cooling available on commercial multi-zoned ductless systems
    • Modern sleek look, no unsighty ductwork, no dust, low maintenance
    • Up to 23 SEER – that means less than half of the electrical consumption of a 10 SEER traditional unit installed just a few years ago (see below)
    • No Noise – even though the indoor unit has a fan, these systems produce little to no noise because they have no ductwork that must be pressurized

Single-Room Ductless Mini Split Systems

Single room ductless systems are ideal for installations where adding ductwork is impractical or too expensive. The matched combination of indoor air handler and outdoor condenser is efficient and easy to install.

These systems are designed to cool or heat one room, come in 9,000 to 42,000 BTUh Energy Efficient Indoor Heatingtotal capacities.  They consist of one indoor ductless unit and one outdoor unit (condenser). Most of these systems are operated by wireless remote controls and are packed with convenience and comfort features.

Ductless mini split systems utilize advanced technology to provide you with a level of comfort control that extends beyond just the temperature within your space. With more ENERGY STAR® qualified systems available than ever before, an allergen filtration capability to clean the air and indoor units that operate at sound levels quieter than a human whisper, the ductless mini split systems are the right choice for your home comfort needs.

The indoor units can be mounted on any outside wall – a 2-3/4″ diameter hole is all that’s needed for connecting the two units. A mini-split system opens the view from a window that might otherwise be blocked by a window air conditioner.

Whatever your situation, whether it be a renovation, new construction, a hot or cold spot, or an addition to your existing home, we have a smart comfort solution for you.

Want freedom to control your comfort in each and every room?
Simply set the temperature for each room with an easy-to-use controller.

Quiet! Indoor units operate as low as 19dB; quieter than a human whisper.

Some models detect real-time temperature disparities within a room and automatically adjust airflow to compensate and perfect comfort. Others provide tremendous heating capabilities when outside ambient temperatures are -10° F. It’s possible to transform any room in your home or your entire home into an oasis of comfort; cool and dry in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter.

Control Your Comfort

Controlling your comfort is easy. Just use the smart remote controller to get your perfect temperature with the touch of a button. Adjust your mode of operation between COOL, HEAT, DRY or AUTO. AUTO mode will automatically decide if you need cooling or heating delivered to the space to maintain the set temperature. Everything you need to control is right there in your room with you; not in another room or a different floor. Comfort control – room by room. The INVERTER-driven compressor in the outdoor unit maximizes efficiency by automatically changing its speed to match the cooling and heating needs of a room. This innovative system differs from conventional systems, which start and stop repetitively causing temperature variations and wasting energy.

Multi-Room Ductless Mini Split Systems

Multi room ductless system is often called a multi zone ductless system, because each room is individually controlled comfort zone. You can heat or cool one area without affecting other. Thanks to modern technology, up to eight indoor units can be connected to one outdoor unit creating system that unique for your home, yet it remaining highly energy efficient when operating just one indoor unit at low capacity.

These systems vary from 12,000 to 54,000 BTUh total combined capacities.  Most of these systems are operated by wireless remote controls and are packed with convenience and comfort features.

Multi room systems are ideal for installations where adding ductwork is impractical or too expensive. The matched combination of indoor air handler and outdoor condenser is efficient and easy to install.

Energy Efficient Indoor Heating

Select wall mounted, compact cassette or concealed ceiling type indoor units – mix-and-match flexibility of evaporator type and capacity allows you to choose the indoor unit that best fits the application, whether it be hidden or showcased.

Create hundreds different combinations. These systems are ideal for nursing homes, doctor’s offices, condominiums, apartments and residences – any place where individual cooling or heating is needed. Each indoor unit can be operated independently. That is, on/off, temperature, air movement, up/down (wall mount unit only), time clock operation, can all be controlled from their own wireless remote.

Multi Zone Systems are one of today’s most advanced forms of air conditioning. Multi Zone Systems are quick & easy to have installed and are ultra quiet as well as highly energy efficient.

Indoor mini-split units come in various configurations – wall mount, ceiling suspended, ceiling recessed (cassette) and concealed with short duct.

What is SEER?

For air conditioners, the metric for efficiency rating is a SEER rating, Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio.  The higher the SEER rating the less electricity is used for the same cooling capacity.

As of January 2006, the federal government mandates that all new central air conditioning equipment be at least 13 SEER, but there is equipment available rated as high as 23 SEER on the market and many 8 and 10 SEER units are still in use.
